Testimonials

Christian and Tim’s presentation was a truly engaging and inspiring experience for our elementary students. From excerpts of the author’s journaling pages to doodles out of the illustrator’s sketchbook, students were shown a true glimpse into the creative writing process. Throughout our school assembly, you could feel the author and illustrator’s passion for writing and illustrating the Adventures of Tucker and Zoey – they made students excited to start their own writing pieces! The content of the Adventures of Tucker and Zoey series is completely relatable to elementary-aged students. The illustrations and writing help the adorable personalities of these lovable pets to shine through. Students loved listening to the stories, and teachers loved the underlying message of friendship and compassion that can be seen throughout the series. Christian and Tim maintained absolute professionalism while dealing with students, teachers, and staff throughout the school day. They even returned to our school later in the evening for our schoolwide Dr. Seuss celebration! Our school cannot wait to have them return for our next Author/Illustrator visit, and students cannot wait to read about the next adventure for Tucker and Zoey.

Delightful read! The book was entertaining and well written. As an owner of 5 dogs, I can see the episodes he describes happening in our house. He does a wonderful job as describing the evolution of the relationship between his 2 adopted fur-children. While it’s written for children, it’s equally enjoyable for adults. My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. The illustrations are great and really capture the spirit of these 2 dogs.

The dynamic duo of Christian Bensing and Timothy Feather really wowed us at Lincoln Elementary School! Our students and staff loved every minute. Their message transcends far beyond just writing and drawing pictures; they taught our students the “4 P’s” to finding success in ANY aspect of life: have a PASSION, find your PEOPLE, find your PURPOSE, and have PATIENCE. Their amazing presentations (which they geared towards the different grade levels) and author meet and greets definitely inspired our budding authors and illustrators! Many students and their families are still reaching out and talking about their love for rescue pups Tucker and Zoey, and about the great day they had with this awesome duo. They were so easy to work with in preparation for our visit, and their presentations were perfectly planned. It’s obvious they love what they do!

The kids really enjoyed your presentation yesterday. I saw my 3rd and 4th grade gifted kids, and each of them said they really had a great time. I could tell they enjoyed it as I heard lots of cheering and laughing going on from my room. Kudos to your illustrator and you for a great presentation. I hope you inspired some future writers.

Who doesn’t love dog stories!?! Mr. Bensing and Mr. Feather visited our school for assemblies and as guests at our school’s reading night. Our students loved the fun and engaging books. What a wonderful opportunity for our students to hear about the process of writing, illustrating, and publishing books! All of their presentations ran smoothly with little planning and preparation on my part.
